AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's and men's basketball teams host the Francis Marion Patriots on Wednesday, Feb. 8 in Christenberry Fieldhouse. The games serve to raise and awareness and support for the Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University.

The women's game tips off at 5:30 p.m. and the Jaguar men follow at 7:30 p.m. in the Peach Belt Conference doubleheader. The cancer center will have numerous cancer survivors in attendance at both games and fans will have a chance to make a donation and gather information on how to get involved.
The Lady Jaguars will don their pink alternative uniforms to support the breast cancer awareness initiatives. The game also serves as the annual Play4 Kay game. Play4 Kay is an opportunity for a nation of coaches to raise breast cancer awareness and funds, for research on the court, across campuses, in communities, and beyond.
Since its inception in 2007, the Play 4Kay initiative has raised over $5.28 million to support women's cancer research. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is the official charity of the initiative.
The Georgia Cancer Center at AU includes a 167,000-square-foot research building, which opened in 2006, and a clinical facility that opened in 2010. Together they provide state-of-the-art research and treatment.
