Outler Earns PBC Player Of The Week Honors

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University women's basketball junior-forward Ashleigh Outler has been named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week. The league office announced the accolade on Monday afternoon from their office in Augusta.

Ashleigh Outler averaged 25 points per game in two contests last week for the Jaguars. The junior from Augusta, Ga., opened with 29 points, hitting 6-of-11 three-pointers, in a win over Coker on Nov. 29

She came back with 21 points in a loss on the road at West Georgia on Dec. 2. Outler shot 60 percent (18-for-30) from the field and an impressive 56 percent (9-for-16) from long range, adding 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. Outler is currently eighth in the PBC in scoring and three-point shooting.

The Jaguars host Benedict College on Saturday, Dec. 10 for a 4:00 p.m. tipoff in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
