Four Junior Transfers Ink With Jags For 2016-17

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's basketball team added four new recruits to the 2016-17 roster, head coach Nate Teymer announced Wednesday morning.

The Jaguars signed four junior transfers in Tanesha Campbell, Abrea Harris, Ashleigh Outler, and JJ Williams.

Tanesha Campbell (Jacksonville, Fla.) attended Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Fla., for two years before coming to August. Campbell, the 6-1 forward, played in 24 games for the saints in 2016 and made five starts.

Abrea "Bre" Harris (Charlotte, N.C.) is a Northwest Florida State College transfer and will be a guard. Harris competed in 32 games for NFSC in Niceville, Fla., in 2015-16 while averaging 7.0 points per game and 4.9 rebounds per game. She recorded a 41.7 field-goal percentage on the year.

Ashleigh Outler (Augusta, Ga.) joins the Jags from South Carolina State in Orangeburg, S.C. Last season as a sophomore, Outler averaged 7.0 points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game in her 29 played. She scored in double-figures in seven games and posted an 83.3 free-throw percentage.

JJ Williams (Carmel, Ind.) attended Wright State University for two years in Fairborn, Ohio. Williams saw action in 20 games in 2015-16 and averaged 3.8 ppg and 1.6 rpg. In 2013-14, Williams appeared in 30 games with two starts.
