Augusta Softball Adds Three More To 2020 Roster

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University head softball coach Melissa Brocato added three new student-athletes who signed National Letters of Intent (NLI) to play for the Jaguars next spring in 2020. Augusta gained incoming junior-transfer Sydney Tulin and sophomore-transfers Jakayla Sullivan and Reilly Williams.

Name: Jakayla Sullivan

Position: Infield

Year: Sophomore

Height: 5-8

Hometown / Previous School: Winder, Ga. / Savannah State University

 

Sullivan signed with the Jaguars after spending a season at Savannah State University in Savannah, Ga. She started in 30 of her 31 games played as an infielder in 2019 and carded 16 hits and 11 RBIs. Originally from Winder, Ga., Sullivan attended Winder-Barrow High School and was an All-Region selection, while earning the Prep Sports Most Versatile Player of the Year honor. She plans to study kinesiology at Augusta University.

 

Name: Sydney Tulin

Position: Utility

Year: Junior

Height: 5-7

Hometown / Previous School: Naples, Fla. / St. Petersburg College

 

Tulin transfers from St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Fla., where she lettered for two years of softball from 2017 to 2019. Last season in 2019, Tulin had a .348 batting average, with 40 hits, 27 RBIs, and five homers. She also pitched 88 innings and struck out 54 batters with a 3.58 earned run average. Tulin is from Naples, Fla., and plans to study ecology at AU.

 

Name: Reilly Williams

Position: Catcher / Infield

Year: Sophomore

Height: 5-5

Hometown / Previous School: Coeur d'Alene, Idaho / University of Montana

 

Williams will join Augusta as a sophomore transfer from the University of Montana in Missoula, Mont. She lettered in one year of softball in 2019 and played in 30 games, while making eight starts. Williams hit .279 and posted 12 hits, seven RBI, and three doubles last season as a catcher. She plans to study communications at AU.
