AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University softball team hosts Georgia College on Saturday, April 27 for a 1:00 p.m. Peach Belt Conference doubleheader at Jaguar Field. The Jaguars will recognize seniors Savannah Gabriel, Lydia Hausman, Kelsea Hunter, and Alyssa Johnson on the field prior to first pitch.
All four in-state signees have enjoyed success with the Jaguars in their tenures. Johnson and Hausman joined the Jaguars as freshmen and have been competing since 2017. Johnson has aided the AU pitching staff and most notably appeared out of the bullpen during her time, while Hausman saw action as an infielder and immediately earned a starting role. Hunter joined the squad as a sophomore transfer in 2017 and started right away in the outfield and as the designated hitter. Gabriel came to Augusta as a junior-transfer in 2018 and made her mark as a starting centerfielder.
Admission to the event is free to all. Game one will start at 1:00 p.m. and game two of the league double feature is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. first pitch at Jaguar Field. The games are the final competition for Augusta this season.
