Augusta Softball Inks Marni Greenstein For 2017 Season

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University softball team has signed junior transfer Marni Greenstein from Florida State College at Jacksonville to a National Letter of Intent (NLI), head coach Melissa Brocato announced. Greenstein will join the Jaguars for the 2017 season.

Marni Greenstein comes to Augusta from Jacksonville, Fla., where she attended FSCJ for two seasons. Last year as a sophomore the outfielder/pitcher batted .351 in her 35 games played with 77 at bats. Greenstein drove in 28 runs on 27 hits including seven home runs. On the mound in 2016, she recorded a 2.80 ERA in 18 appearances and posted a 2-2 record in her 45 innings pitched.

Greenstein graduated with honors in 2016 and was named first-team All-Conference and the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Co-Female Scholar Athlete during her tenure. She plans to study kinesiology and sports psychology in Augusta.
