AUGUSTA, Ga. – A day after earning All-District honors for her academic prowess, Augusta State's Kacee Camp was named to the Daktronics All-Southeast Region first team for her on-the-field performance Tuesday.
It marks her fourth award in four years to the All-Region team, and as a first-teamer she will be placed on the All-America ballot. She is now in the running for both All-America and Academic All-America honors.
The senior batted 6-for-12 with a double and three runs scored to help ASU to the NCAA Southeast Regional final, and finished the year with a .390 batting average. She ranked in the Peach Belt Conference top-15 in nine offensive categories: Batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, doubles, triples, RBI, runs, stolen bases, and hits.
North Georgia placed three players on the first team to lead the region, including Region Pitcher of the Year Melissa Dickle. Armstrong Atlantic's April Jowers was named Region Player of the Year.
