COLUMBUS, Ga. – USC Aiken's India Kornegay hurled a complete-game three-hitter Saturday as the Pacers blanked Augusta State, 3-0, in the quarterfinals of the Peach Belt Conference Championships at Cougar Field.

Kornegay struck out 10 while improving to 20-11 on the season. The sixth-seeded Pacers staked Kornegay to an early lead with three first-inning runs. Kayla Denham did the damage offensively with a two-run double off ASU starter Emily Headrick (16-6) and Lindsey Jones added an RBI-single.

The third run forced a pitching change for the third-seeded Jaguars, which fell to 31-16 with the loss. Heather Hughes worked the final 6.1 innings of scoreless relief for the Jags, allowing five hits with a strikeout.

USCA out-hit ASU 10-3, with Kacee Camp, Hannah Vaughn and Kristen Jones posting the only hits for the Jags. Kaitlyn White enjoyed a perfect 4-for-4 afternoon for the Pacers and Jones added two safeties.

With the victory, USC Aiken advanced to take on No. 2 seed and 11th-ranked North Georgia at 11 a.m., Sunday in the semifinals of the single-elimination tournament.
