BIRMINGHAM, AL - AU Runner Jacob Poston finished third in the UAB Blazer Classic in Birmingham, AL. He finished the 8k course with a time of 24:17.37. While there were no team awards presented at the meet, he led the Jaguars for the day.
Chase Kennedy finished sixth with a time of 24:32.46. Hunter Kimball also finished in the top 10 in a 24:36.15. Brennan Sillman and Kai Brickey both finished in the top with times of 25:03.20 and 24:14.13 respectively. Hans Troyer, Mikias Mekonen, Ben McGinnis, and Carlos Rodriguez also had strong showings for the Jags on the day.
Jacob Poston continues to have an outstanding career with Augusta. He was named Peach Belt Men's Runner of the Week during the first week after leading the team to a first place finish in the Koala Classic and breaking a long-standing school record.
Both AU Cross Country squads see their next competition in two weeks at the North Georgia Invite in Gainesville, Georgia on October 31st.
