Jaguars Earn National Ranking Headed into Regionals

Augusta Ga. – The Augusta University Men's Cross Country team has earned its first national ranking of the year, coming in as the #24 team in the nation! In addition to their national recognition, the Jags also remain as the third ranked team in the region behind, Queens and Mount Olive.

In the national poll, Colorado School of Mines took the number one ranking, followed by Chico State as the number two team. Adams State comes in in the third position with the defending National Champions, Grand Valley State, earning the number four rank. Other rankings of note are Augusta's regional competition Mount Olive and Queens. Mount Olive currently comes in at #15 in the country, while Queens sits at #18.

Augusta is coming off its fourth Peach Belt Conference Title in eight years in what may have been one of the most dominant outings in conference history, with the Jaguars placing all seven runners in the top 10 for the race.

The Jags are looking to add to the trophy case when they travel to Wingate, N.C. for the NCAA Southeast Regional on Saturday, November 9th.
