Augusta Ga. – The Augusta University Men's Cross Country Team earned another victory on the year as the hosted the Garden City Dual. The Jags bested Paine and USC Aiken in the meet.
Despite being put together quickly, the meet ran smoothly as there was an air of friendly competition between the area rivals. Chase Kennedy of Augusta was the top finisher overall, finishing with a time of 21:37.07. Four of the top five for the meet were Augusta runners, as Thibaut Maillot, Hunter Kimball, and Jacob Burgamy all finished second, third, and fourth respectively. Augusta's runners took 12 of the top 13 spots overall as well, with Paine's Fernando Suarez spoiling the sweep with a fifth place individual effort.
The Jaguars head to Pembroke, N.C. for their next meet, the PBC Championships, on Saturday, October 26th.
