ASU’s Ross Honored By PBC

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State's Dustin Ross was named the Peach Belt Conference Runner of the Week Monday afternoon, according to an announcement from the league's headquarters in Martinez, Ga.

A junior from Rifle, Colo., Ross registered his first win of the season on Saturday, Sept. 22 when he posted an 8K time of 25:55.98 at the Falcon Classic in Montevallo, Ala. He led the Jaguars to the team title and was one of seven Jaguar runners to finish among the top 20. Jaiden Brandt (26:07.79) took third and Jordan Herbert (26:56.58) crossed the line in eighth.

The Runner of the Week selection is the third for Ross in his collegiate career.

ASU returns to action on Friday, Oct. 5 when it hosts the Jaguar Invitational at Blanchard Woods Park. Race time is slated for 5:15 p.m., in Evans, Ga.
