Austin Hendricks Earns Elite 15 Award

AUGUSTA, Ga. – GRU Augusta Men's Outdoor Track and Field sophomore Austin Hendricks took home the Peach Belt Conference's Elite 15 Award at the 2014 PBC Championships in Rome, Ga., at Shorter University.

The award is modeled after the NCAA's Elite 89 and honors the student-athletes competing in the championship event with the highest cumulative GPA. Hendricks placed ninth overall in the men's shot put and 11th for the hammer throw at this year's PBC Champs., hosted by Shorter for the second consecutive year.

Nomination Criteria:

Student-athlete is at least a sophomore in academics and athletics standing, and in at least his or her second year of competition (in any sport) at his or her current institution and is an active member on the roster.  Student-athletes are only eligible to win the award once per academic year, even if they participate in more than one sport.
