Jags Ready for Raleigh Relays and Shorter Invitational

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The GRU Augusta Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Teams are prepared for what is shaping up to be their biggest weekend of competition thus far in 2014. GRU will be represented both in Rome, Ga., at the Shorter Invitational on March 29, as well as at North Carolina State's Raleigh Relays on March 28-29.

Being one of the largest track meets in the southeast, the Raleigh Relays attracts top-level athletes from both the Division I and Division II levels.  With championship season nearing, the meet will offer as a great opportunity for the Jags to achieve conference and National qualifying marks.  There will be 114 Division I, II & III schools competing this weekend in the Raleigh Relays and there are currently 4,158 men and women registered for the 58 scheduled events.

There will be no shortage of quality competition at the Shorter Invitational either.  The Jags will get to test themselves against other PBC athletes just three weeks before returning to Rome for the Conference Championships.
