AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Georgia Regents men's and women's track and field teams have a big weekend of competition ahead of them at the Coastal Carolina Invitational. The Jaguars' path to the Peach Belt Conference Championships is leading them to Conway, S.C., where they will compete in the Coastal Carolina Invitational on March 14-15.
With well over 40 teams listed to attend the meet, both squads will have the opportunity to test their talent against athletes from all over the Eastern United States. This weekend will mark the second meet of the 2014 season for the Jags in their second year as the newest formed of GRU.
Coach Adam Ward is excited for the upcoming days of competition for his athletes. "This weekend will be great for our folks because there will be a lot of quality competition," Ward said. "This will be one of the largest fields we will see all season long, outside of (the NCAA tournament).
