Jags Compete At Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. – Augusta State ran its 11th meet of the year at the Bob Pollock Invitational on the campus of Clemson University Friday and Saturday, May 3 and 4.

Jaguar junior Dustin Ross highlighted ASU in Friday's events with a fourth-place finish in the men's 1500 meter run in 3:54.70. Georgia Tech's Jeremy Greenwald knocked off Clemson's Ty McCormack (3:53.30) and Marty Maloney (3:54.46) to win the 1500 meter in 3:49.97. ASU's Jaiden Brandt (4:10.71) and Preston Jones (4:20.78) rounded out the group in eighth and ninth.

In the men's 3000 meter steeplechase Jordan Herbert took fifth in 10:20.31. Furman's Wilkerson Given (9:15.79) edged Clemson's Jack Andristch (9:35.92) to win the overall event.

On Saturday, Christian Collier placed second in the men's long jump leaping to 6.85m behind East Tennessee State's Diego Lawrence who took first. Collier won the men's long jump in the last meet at the Peach Belt Conference Championships.

ASU's Levonta Reddick finished in the middle of the pack in the men's 200 meter dash, taking sixth out of twelve competitors in 22.10. The Jags compete on May 10 in Atlanta, Ga., at Georgia Tech.
