FLORENCE, S.C. – Augusta University men's tennis senior Patrick Oliveira was named second team Peach Belt All-Conference on Thursday night at the PBC awards banquet on the eve of the PBC Championships. The All-PBC selection is the third for Oliveira in his decorated four-year career as a Jaguar.
Columbus State's Kiranpal Pannu was named the PBC Player of the Year while USC Aiken's Salvador Bandeira the Freshman of the Year. CSU's Evan Isaacs was named the Coach of the Year.
Oliveira earned the No. 1 singles spot again for Augusta in 2019 and recorded seven wins on the season and six losses. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Oliveira went 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles in his last time out on March 31st. He was named an All-American in 2017 and a back-to-back All-Conference selection the last two seasons.
The 2019 Jaguars are ranked No. 38 in the nation and face USC Aiken on Saturday, April 20 at 9:00 a.m. in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinal match in Florence, S.C.
