FLORENCE, S.C. – The Augusta University men's tennis team made its 26th appearance at the Peach Belt Conference Championships on Saturday morning as the seventh seed and fell to second-seeded USC Aiken 4-2 at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center.
Augusta is ranked No. 38 in the nation, while USCA entered the match as the No. 6 team in the country. Augusta freshman Luca Bolle won 6-4 and 6-3 at the fifth singles position and sophomore Martin Hurtado sealed a win in the sixth slot with back-to-back 6-2 wins.
The Jaguars moved to 9-9 overall on the season with the postseason loss.
