ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Augusta University men's tennis team played at No. 15 nationally ranked Flagler College and lost a 5-2 Peach Belt Conference match on Wednesday afternoon.
The conference meeting moved the Jaguars to 4-6 on the season and 0-4 in the PBC, while Flagler improved to 8-3 overall and 1-0 in the Peach Belt. AU senior Joao Ferreira won 6-3, 6-2 in the second singles slot, while sophomore Martin Hurtado won by the same score at No. 6. The Saints swept doubles play and held off Augusta for their first conference win.
