MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Augusta University men's tennis team started Peach Belt Conference play on Wednesday at Georgia College and dropped a 6-3 match to the Bobcats at the Centennial Center Tennis Complex.
Ranked No. 10 in the nation, junior Patrick Oliveira won the No. 1 singles match 6-4, 6-2 and teamed with senior Jose Cobo to win No. 3 doubles 8-4 for Augusta. Jags senior Moritz Gehlhaus shined at No. 4 singles and won 6-2, 6-3.
Next up, the Jags play a non-conference match at Anderson University in Anderson, S.C., on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 12:00 p.m.
