AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men's tennis team didn't drop a set to win a 9-0 non-conference match over Concord University on Tuesday afternoon at Newman Tennis Center.
The Jaguars move to 6-7 on the season with the shutout victory.
Gaspard Mathieu, Joao Gabriel Freitas, and Odyr Cruz each won 6-0, 6-0 in singles play, while Patrick Oliveira and Joao Ferreira each only dropped one set. Arthur Andrade took care of No. 2 singles 6-2, 3-0, and won by retirement.
Freitas and Gabriel Pansera made up No. 1 doubles, Oliveira and Gabriel Dos Santos No. 2 doubles, and Ferreira and Cruz No. 3 doubles. All three groups won 8-0 to knock off the Mountain Lions.
Augusta hosts Montevallo for a Peach Belt Conference dual match on Saturday, March 18 at Newman Tennis Center.
