ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Jaguar Men's Tennis team triumphed at UNC Asheville on Tuesday afternoon to take a 5-2 non-conference win in the Crowne Plaza.
The Jaguars (5-1) started the day with a Victor Cabellos singles win that sparked three in a row for GRU Augusta. UNC Asheville answered with two singles wins, but Joao Gabriel Freitas took care of Josh Swindler in the final meeting to give the Jags an advantage going into doubles play.
Victor Cabellos and Victor Guimaraes defeated Brett Landau and Alex Croker in the opening doubles meeting and the Romain's handled the second dobles meeting, with Romain Ferreria and Romain Brunie put down Daniel Kripak and John Schubel to give the Jaguars a final 5-2 victory.
The Jags play at Barry on Thursday, Feb. 27 for a non-conference match at 3:00 p.m.
