Augusta Men's Golf Reveals Spring 2021 Schedule

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Eighth-year head coach Jack O'Keefe announced the Spring 2021 Augusta University men's golf schedule. The spring competition slate features six tournaments before the conference championship.

 

"We are extremely excited about our Spring 2021 golf schedule," said Head Coach Jack O'Keefe. "We once again begin in California to start out the semester with the Southwestern Invitational, which will be televised live on the Golf Channel, January 25-27. We compete against the top teams in the country in our events and the guys are looking forward to the challenge. We have a young team with the talent to make some noise this year. The semester will be loaded with tournaments (7), along with NCAA Regionals and NCAA Finals and the competition will prepare our guys to be able to beat the best. We look forward to representing Augusta University and the community with a great semester of golf in these trying times."

 

The spring season opens at the Southwestern Invitational January 25-27 in Thousand Oaks, Ca. and is followed by the Francis Marion Intercollegiate at Palmetto Hall on the Arthur Hills Course in Hilton Head, S.C. on February 22-23.  

 

Next up Augusta heads to the Pinehurst Invitational hosted by Wake Forest University at historic Pinehurst No. 2, site of several U.S. Opens and the 2019 U.S. Amateur in Pinehurst, N.C. The Linger Longer Invitational, hosted by Mercer and Kennesaw State, takes place March 12-14 at Great Waters at Reynolds Lake Oconee.  The Jaguars then head to Florida for the John Hayt Intercollegiate March 28-29 in Ponta Vedra Beach at Sawgrass Country Club.

  

The Augusta Haskins Award Invitational presented by Valspar will be hosted locally April 3-4 in Augusta, GA by the Augusta Golf Association at Forest Hills Golf Club. The Augusta Haskins Award Invitational features some of the top teams in Division I who compete on the eve of The Masters.

The 2021 MEAC Championships will be held in Greensboro, N.C April 19-20.. Augusta seeks to win its sixth title at the MEAC.

 

Six sites across the nation play host to the 2020 NCAA Regional Championships from May 28-31. Grayhawk Golf Club, Arizona State's home course, returns as the host of the NCAA Championships after having the event cancelled last year.
