STATESBORO, Ga. – Augusta University played their final day on Tuesday at the Georgia Southern Golf Course in Statesboro, Ga. The team finished second at 21 under par.
The Jaguars started the day in second place after two rounds of play. The team stayed consistent in second place throughout all three rounds of the tournament. Augusta finished the tournament 21-under par, a 19 stroke lead over third place Appalachian State (-1).
Alex Van Wyk led the Jaguars in round 3, playing his best round of the tournament shooting 6 under par. He finished the tournament in 5th place with a score of 211 (-5). Jack Vajda was close behind Alex van Wyk , finishing the day tied in 8th with an overall score of 213 (-3). Ben Van Wyk shot even on the day and completed the tournament in a tie for 11th shooting 215 (-1). Dawson Booth played his best round of the tournament and tied for 15th with a score of 218 (+2). Dan Sheehan and Hampus Wijkstrom finished the tournament in 28th (+6) and a tie for 34th (+9).
Brock Hoover and Wilhelm Berg von Linde competed as individuals tied for 40th (+14) and 48th (+23).
The host Georgia Southern won the Bash of the Boro (-33) Augusta University placed second (-22) while Appalachian State and Francis Marion tied for third (-1). Wofford College (+4), Troy (+6), and Western Kentucky (+24) rounded out the rest of the leaderboard
