Augusta Second Through Two Rounds at the Bash in the Boro

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Augusta University men's golf team is in second place after 36 holes on Monday. Augusta's Jack Vajda sits on top of the leader board at 11-under par. Vadja shot a tournament low 64 in the second round.

 

 

 

The Jaguars opened the tournament Monday morning at the Georgia Southern Golf Course in Statesboro, Ga. Georgia Southern is currently in first place at 21 under par. August is 15 under par and has a comfortable ten stroke lead over Appalachian State (-5)

 

The Jaguars stayed consistent at second place through the first two rounds of play. The team was led by Jack Vajda, finishing at the top of the players leaderboard with a 133 (11-under par). Ben Van Wyk is currently tied for tenth after improving his first round score by an impressive 9 strokes to a Round 2 67(-5). Dan Sheehan and Alex Van Wyk are both tied for 15th  (+1). Dawson Booth and Hampus Wijkstrom are tied for 23rd and tied for 35th respectively. Brock Hoover and Wilhelm Berg von Linde competed as individuals in the tournament. 

 

 

Players representing Augusta University in the tournament consist of Ben Van Wyk, Hampus Wijkstrom, Dan Sheehan, Alex Van Wyk, Dawson Booth, Jack Vajda, Brock Hoover, and Wilhelm Berg von Linde.

 

The Bash in the Boro ends Tuesday with an 18-hole round 3. The teams will have an 8:15am shotgun start.
