Scottsdale, Az. – The Augusta University Men's Golf team sits in eighth place after the first day of the Maui Jim Intercollegiate. The Jags shot 275 on the day and trail the leader, Arizona State, by 13. With the par 70 course, Seniors Gustav Andersson and McCullough Pickens are tied for 20th overall each shooting a 68, good for -2 under par. Freshman Ben van Wyk sits in a tie for 30th after shooting -1 under par. Freshman Jack Vajda was even on the day, while Sophomore Alex van Wyk was the only Jag to go over, shooting a 74.

The men will tee off tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. for the second day of the tournament.
