Augusta Seeks Fourth Title At MEAC Championship April 19-21

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Augusta University men's golf team begins the postseason at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Golf Championship April 19-21 at Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga. Augusta is seeking its fourth straight MEAC Championship title after winning in 2015, 2016, and 2017.  

 

Savannah State University will once again host the event at Crosswinds. The championship will feature three-time defending champion Augusta University, along with Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M, Hampton, Maryland Eastern Shore, North Carolina A&T State, North Carolina Central and Savannah State. The winner will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Div. I Men's Golf Championship.

 

The three-round championship will be played over the course of three days, beginning on Thursday, April 19 at 8:00 a.m. with the opening round. The final round will tee off at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21. Pairings will be announced on Wednesday, April 19 and live scoring will be available through GolfStat.com.

 

The Crosswinds Golf Club is a unique par-72 course with narrow fairways that features five par-5s and five par-3s, along with TiFeagle greens and Bermuda fairways.

 

The NCAA Div. I Men's Golf Selection Show will air on Wednesday, May 2 at 5:30 p.m. on Golf Channel.
