WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. – The Augusta University men's golf team opens 2018 at the Southwestern Invitational, hosted by Pepperdine University, in Westlake Village, Calif., Feb. 26-27 at North Ranch Country Club. It is the third straight season that Augusta will play in Pepperdine's home event outside of Malibu.
The Southwestern Invitational was started by USC in 1978. Pepperdine and USC co-hosted the event in 2013 and 2014. After a year without a tournament, Pepperdine then took over hosting duties in 2016 and merged it with its own home tournament, which had been played at a few different sites.
DATES: Monday-Tuesday, February 26-27, 2018
COURSE: North Ranch Country Club — Westlake Village, California
PAR/YARDAGE: Par 72, Yardage 6,992 (Lakes & Oaks courses)
SCHEDULE:
Sunday (February 25): practice round starts at 11 a.m.
Monday (February 26): 36 holes, shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.
Tuesday (Februrary 27): 18 holes, tee times off holes 1 and 10 starting at 7:45 a.m.
TEAMS SCHEDULED TO COMPETE (15): Pepperdine, Augusta, Denver, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Michigan, New Mexico, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, SMU, Tennessee, UC Davis, UCLA, Washington State.
RESULTS: There will be live scoring at www.golfstat.com. Results will be e-mailed out at the end of each day.
