Jaguars To Play In Televised Tourney At The Maxwell April 14-15

EDMOND, Okla. – The Augusta University men's golf team returns to The Maxwell for the second-straight season to compete in Oklahoma State and Oklahoma's home event at Oak Tree Country Club April 14-15.

 

The Maxwell golf tournament will be televised live by Sooner Sports TV on Friday from 1:30-6:30 p.m. CT on Fox Sports Southwest and Fox College Sports Pacific.

 

The broadcast will cover the second round of the 54-hole, two-day tournament held in Edmond, Okla., at Oak Tree Country Club. The channels will reach a total of 90 million households, and streaming will also be available through the FOX Sports GO app with cable package authentication.

 

SSTV personality Chad McKee will provide play-by-play during the round, while Golfweek college golf writer Lance Ringler and former OU golfer and professional Hunter Haas will serve as analysts.

 

Hosted by the Cowboys and Sooners on the par-70, 7,102-yard course, The Maxwell features 14 teams with seven teams ranked in the top 50 including the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the nation.

 

The field features No. 47 Augusta, No. 3 Baylor, No. 28 Colorado, East Carolina, No. 48 Liberty, Memphis, No. 49 New Mexico, North Texas. No. 14 Oklahoma, No. 2 Oklahoma State, SMU, UCLA, UTSA, and Wichita State.

 

Augusta will send junior Broc Everett, seniors Emmanuel Kountakis, Viktor Edin, Jake Marriott, and freshman Gustav Andersson to compete.

 

Format Three rounds over two days

Friday: 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start; second round to follow that afternoon

Saturday: 9:00 a.m. CT, teams 6-14 will begin with a shotgun start. The top five teams will tee off from hole No. 1 starting at 9:00 a.m. CT.
