MEAC Names Broc Everett Men’s Golfer Of The Month

NORFOLK, Va., - April 3, 2017 - Augusta University junior Broc Everett was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Golfer of the Month on Wednesday morning. The conference office announced the award for March from their league offices. 

 

Everett (6-4, Jr., West Des Moines, Iowa) notched a pair of top-10 finishes in both of Augusta's tournaments in March. He finished seventh in the Linger Longer Invitational - shooting a 7-under 209 (71-71-67), after tying for seventh in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate with a 67-70-72 (209).

 

Everett followed the month of March with a tie for fifth at eight-under par in AU's home event at the 3M Augusta Invitational April 2. Everett shot a seven-under 65 in the second round to highlight day one and followed with a 70 (-2) on Sunday.

 

Other Top Performers

Daniel Brennan (B-CU) took the top individual award at the Towson Spring Invitational after firing a 2-under 142 (69-73).

 

Zach Lewis (NCCU) was tied for 16th at the Manor Intercollegiate after going 76-75-69 (220), climbing 22 spots on the leaderboard in the final day.

 

Adam Walden (SSU) was tied for 14th in the B-CU Gary Freeman Invitational, shooting in the 70s all three rounds – including a final-round 75.
