Jaguars Play Inaugural Maui Jim Invitational Sept. 23-25

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Georgia State men's golf team will host a field of 16 teams Sept. 23-25 for the inaugural Maui Jim Invitational in Scottsdale, Ariz., beginning on Friday. The Augusta University men's golf team joins some of the top teams from around the country to play Mirabel Golf Club Friday-Sunday in a 54-hole event.

Despite being nearly 2,000 miles from Atlanta, the Georgia State Panthers will serve as host for the event. The field of 16 teams will play Mirabel Golf Club, a private course on the north side of Scottsdale.

The course will play to a par 71, 7,147 yards for the 54-hole event.

Teams will be treated to a luau on Thursday night, team party on Friday night, and many other surprises upon their arrival.

The field, which is equally impressive, includes: UAB, Augusta, Baylor, Cal, Chattanooga, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Grand Canyon, Hawai'i, Houston, Kansas, Kent State, LSU, Notre Dame, South Carolina and South Florida.

Play begins on Friday morning with tee times off Holes No. 1 and No. 10 at 8:50 a.m. ET/6:50 a.m. MT. The Panthers will be paired with Houston and UAB on Friday and Saturday. For the final round, the teams will see off at 9 a.m. ET/7 a.m. MT on Sunday, utilizing foursomes off Holes No. 1 and No. 10.
