Everett Qualifies For U.S. Amateur To Complete Augusta Trio

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Augusta men's golf rising junior Broc Everett qualified for the 2016 U.S. Amateur on Monday afternoon and joins Robin Petersson and Jake Marriott to represent the Jaguars.

Everett (West Des Moines, Iowa) shot four-under par (68-70, 138) in the St. Paul, Minn., qualifier at Hillcrest Golf Club of St. Paul. This is the second-straight year that Everett has qualified for the U.S. Amateur Championship.

Everett and the Jags compete in the 116th U.S. Amateur August 15-21 at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township, Mich.

The USGA conducts the U.S. Open, U.S. Women's Open and U.S. Senior Open, as well as 10 national amateur championships, two state team championships and international matches, attracting players and fans from more than 160 countries. Together with The R&A, the USGA governs the game worldwide, jointly administering the Rules of Golf, Rules of Amateur Status, equipment standards and World Amateur Golf Rankings.
