Men's Golf MEAC Ring Ceremony Nov. 21 At Jaguar Basketball Home Game

2015 MEAC Championships rings and banner to be unveiled at men's hoops halftime

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men's golf team will receive their 2015 MEAC Conference Championship rings and a banner with be hung in the rafters of Christenberry Fieldhouse on Saturday, Nov. 21 during halftime of the men's basketball game against Paine College.

The Jaguars won the 2015 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championship at Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga., on April 25, 2015 by 36 strokes to advance to the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships last season. The team became an associate member of the MEAC in September 2014 and dominated their first appearance in the league tourney.

The Jaguars combined to shoot a 19-under 557 through 36 holes of the event and had 43 combined birdies through both rounds. Robin Petersson won the event for the Jags, while Maverick Antcliff took second and Broc Everett third overall.

Join the Jaguars Saturday, Nov. 21 as they receive their rings during a special halftime ceremony during the men's hoops game.

The Augusta women's and men's basketball teams host rival Paine College on Saturday, Nov. 21 for a 5:30 p.m. women's game and a 7:30 p.m. men's game. WJBF News Channel 6 is televising the event.
