Antcliff & Everett Qualify For 115th U.S. Amateur

Jaguar duo shines in U.S. Amateur sectional qualifying stages to advance to U.S. Amateur

AUGUSTA, Ga. – GRU Augusta men's golf senior Maverick Antcliff and sophomore Broc Everett qualified for the 2015 U.S. Amateur on August 17- 23 at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Ill.

Maverick Antcliff qualified on July 16 at the U.S. Amateur Championship sectional qualifying in Monroe, N.C. at the Monroe Country Club. Antcliff shot a two-day total of five-under par and snagged the third qualifying position in the first hole of a playoff. He joins Victor Wiggins from Gastonia, N.C. and William Rainey from Charlotte, N.C. who both shot two-day totals of six-under par 138 in Monroe.

Broc Everett qualified on July 6 at the 36-hole qualifier held at Sunnyside Country Club in Waterloo, Iowa. Everett finished runner-up with a 142 (-2), while Conner Koberg was the medalist with a 141 (-3). Everett made five birdies, but also sprinkled in a pair of eagles to finish one shot clear of third place.

The U.S. Amateur will be played August 17-23 at Olympia Fields Country Club just outside of Chicago, Ill. It is the site of the 2003 U.S. Open and also the site of our first tournament of the fall.
