AUGUSTA, Ga. – The men's and women's Jaguar Golf teams wrapped play for the 2014 fall portion of their schedule and are ready for a full helping of Division I competition next year in the spring 2015 season.
Ranked No. 24 in the nation according to Golfstat.com, GRU Augusta's women's golf team finished in the top five in all four of their fall events - including a first-place finish at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate on Oct. 14 in Greenville, N.C.
The men posted three top-five finishes this fall and five top-10 showings in their five tournaments played. On Oct. 28 at The Grove Intercollegiate, the Jaguar men had their best finish and claimed third place out of 12 teams in College Grove, Tenn.
Both teams return next semester in 2015 where the women will play five regular-season events and the men four. The GRU women host the 3M Jaguar Intercollegiate March 13-15 at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., and the men host the 3M Augusta Invitational April 4-5 at FHGC.
