Jaguars Fall to Top-Ranked Flagler in PBC Matchup

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men's basketball team dropped a Peach Belt Conference game 82-52 to the visiting Flagler College Saints.  The loss moves the Jaguars to 6-5 overall, 4-5 in PBC play while the Saints move to 10-2, 8-1 in PBC Play.

Augusta junior Tyree Myers led the team with 16 points and 3 assists.  Darren Lucas-White added 11 points to go along with 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

 

The two teams were nearly identical in second chance point, but the Jags were outrebounded 34-31. The first ten minutes of the matchup proved to be a back and forth affair. Made shots beyond the arc by Lawrence Slim and Jaizec Lottie extended the saints lead to 16-8 with 8 minute left in the first half. The Jags were able to pull back within 7 at halftime. Flagler continued to extend their lead late into the second half, claiming the 82-52 victory.

Flagler was led by Jaizec Lottie's 23 points and Chase Fiddler' 20 points.

 

AU travels to take on North Georgia Monday February 15th.
