#10 Jags Fall to Flagler on the Road

 

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL  – The #10 Augusta Jaguars fell to the Flagler College Saint 70-64 Wednesday night. Augusta moves to 3-1 on the season, 1-1 in PBC play while the Saints move to 2-1, 2-1 in Peach Belt play.

Florida native Lee Flenor led Augusta, going 6-for-11 from the field with 19 total points and adding 2 blocks and a steal defensively. Flenor also led the team in rebounding with 15 on the night, including 7 offensive rebounds.  Darren Lucas-White was again integral in the contest. The junior had 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, a block, and a steal.

The game was tight throughout, featuring 9 ties and 7 lead changes. The Jaguars went to the locker room at halftime with a narrow 33-29 lead at the half. Augusta led by as many as 11 in the first half of the match-up, but a late offensive surge by the Saints at the end of the second half propelled them to a 70-64 win. The Jaguars held the edge in rebounding for the night, but Flagler won the field goal percentage battle, shooting 43.6% to Augusta's 37.9%.

 

Flagler was led by Jaizec Lottie's 30 points.

 

The Jaguars are back in action this Saturday the 16th when they travel to Georgia Southwestern for 7:30pm PBC Conference match-up. All games can be viewed on the PBC Sports Network.
