AU's other three starters all scored in double figures as well. Freshmen Tyree Myers and Miguel Arnold and senior Tyvez Monroe all put up 10 points in the victory.

The game was tightly contested through the opening possessions and FMU took an 8-7 lead off an early three pointer. Williams hit a jumper and Myers an uncontested trey at the top of the key to put Augusta up near the 15:00 minute mark. The Jaguars were up by as much as 12 in the first half, but an FMU run to close the half cut AU's score to 31-27 at halftime.

Francis Marion fought back and forced overtime by outscoring the Jags 37-33 in the second half. Tied at 64-all heading into extra time, Augusta took over and a deep three pointer from Arnold sealed the victory. The Jaguars outscored the Patriots 13-6 in overtime to win their 14th game in a row. Head Coach Dip Metress is now 18-8 with the Jags in the NCAA Tournament.

The Jaguars will play third-seeded USC Aiken in the semifinal game on Sunday, March 17 at 5:00 p.m. in The Levine Center for their fourth meeting of the season. Each team won on each other's floor in the regular season, but Augusta rolled USC Aiken the last time out on March 3 to claim the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championship.
