Augusta Basketball To Offer Free Admission To Federal Workers For Remainder Of 2019 Season

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men's and women's basketball programs will offer all current federal employees free admission to the remainder of all 2019 home Jaguar basketball games in Christenberry Fieldhouse. Federal employees must show their federal employee ID at the main entrance.

 

Approximately 800,000 federal employees across the nation have been affected by the recent government shut down. The Jags would like to show their support for those families in the area affected.

 

Augusta will host Peach Belt Conference rival USC Aiken on Wednesday, January 30, with the women set to tip off at 5:30 and the men to follow at 7:30. The Jags then take on Lander for Military Appreciation Day, Saturday, February 2, at 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. The next home game sees AU face off against Columbus State on Saturday, February 9, at 1:30 and 3:30. Augusta rounds out the home schedule with games against Francis Marion (Feb. 20, 5:30/7:30) followed by Georgia Southwestern (Feb. 23, 1:30/3:30).

 

Feb. 9 is cancer awareness day to support the Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University, Feb. 20 is sponsored by the AU Testing and Disability Services Center and the Feb. 23 doubleheader is 2019 Homecoming and Senior Day.
