Augusta Basketball Hosts Cancer Awareness Games Feb. 9 To Support Georgia Cancer Center

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's and men's basketball teams host the Columbus State Cougars on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Christenberry Fieldhouse. The games serve to raise awareness and support for the Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University.

The women's game tips off at 1:30 p.m. and the Jaguar men follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Peach Belt Conference doubleheader. The Georgia Cancer Center will be on site at the games and fans will have a chance to make a donation during both halftimes. Informational tables will be set up around the arena and cancer survivors will be in attendance.  

 

The Jags will wear their pink alternate jerseys to support the initiative as the day also serves as the annual Play4 Kay game. Play4 Kay is an opportunity for a nation of coaches to raise breast cancer awareness and funds, for research on the court, across campuses, in communities, and beyond.

•           FREE w/ ID - AU students, faculty, staff & retirees

•           FREE – Kids six years and under
