Six Straight: Augusta Pushes Streak In 102-82 Win At Clayton State

MORROW, Ga. – The Augusta University men's basketball team won its sixth consecutive game on Monday night with a 102-82 Peach Belt Conference victory against the Clayton State Lakers.

On top by 12 at halftime, Augusta never slowed down and lead by as much as 23 to win big on the road. Augusta senior and PBC Player of the Week, Deane Williams, delivered a career-high 31 points and 10 rebounds his ninth double-double of the season. Junior Rafael Monteiro scored 19 points and carded eight rebounds and senior Aaron Byrd added 12 points.

 

The Jaguars have teamed with AU's Testing and Disability Services department for Disability Awareness Night on Wednesday, Feb. 20. The Jaguars host Francis Marion, with the women tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and the men following at 7:30 p.m.

 

Augusta hosts the 2019 Homecoming and Senior Day games in Christenberry Fieldhouse on Saturday, Feb. 23 against Georgia Southwestern. The women's game tips off at 1:30 p.m. and the men follow at 3:30 p.m. for the final regular-season doubleheader of the season.
