Once again Augusta Athletics is honored to welcome soldiers from Fort Gordon military base who will fill the stands of Christenberry as we honor members of the United States Armed Forces for the annual event.
"Military appreciation game is always a special game for our program and university," head men's basketball coach Dip Metress said. "The soldiers enhance the atmosphere at Christenberry and when the Soldiers Creed is said it is an extremely special moment."
All active duty, retired, and veteran military personnel are admitted into the games free of charge with a valid military ID or DD214 form.
During halftime of the men's game, cadets will officially be inducted into the Army with a special swearing-in ceremony.
The Jaguars have also welcomed back ForcesUnited, Operation Teammate, Wounded Warrior Project, and the Military & Veterans Services department here at Augusta University to be a part of the celebration.
