AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men's and women's basketball teams host crosstown rival, Paine College, for the first doubleheader of the 2017-18 season on Saturday, Dec. 9 in Christenberry Fieldhouse. The women's game tips off at 5:30 p.m. and the men follow at 7:30 p.m.

Augusta men's hoops (is 17-3 against Paine College since the 1999-00 season and are 14-1 with head coach Dip Metress at the helm. The Lady Jaguars are 15-3 against Paine College dating back to the 1999-00 season.
The Jaguars will honor The Georgia Soul during women's halftime. The Georgia Soul won the 2017 Women's Blue Chip Basketball League National Championship. The WBCBL is the premier professional development league for women's basketball players.
During men's halftime, the Children's Hospital of Georgia at AU will be in attendance for a special presentation with the Jaguar Miracle group. Jaguar Miracle is a student led organization that supports our local non-profit Children's Hospital of Georgia.
