Matias Suvanto (Helsinki, Finland) is a 6-2 guard who competed with Helsinki Basketball Academy. Suvanto played for Helinski from 2013-2017 and also for the Finland national team during his high school career.
"Matias is an international experienced player who has played for his country on numerous occasions," Metress said. "He gained invaluable experience playing with the best players in Finland and was able to fine tune his game to be able to make an impact as an incoming freshman."
Suvanto averaged 8.4 points per game and 3.8 rebounds per game during his senior year at HBA. The Jaguars return to official competition in November for the 2017-18 season.
