Keshun Sherrill Named NABC All-District

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2016 NABC Coaches' Division II All-District teams and coaches, recognizing the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division and Augusta Jaguars junior Keshun Sherrill earned second team honors for the southeast region.

Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division II, these 88 student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America.

Keshun Sherrill (Cleveland, N.C.) ended the regular-season leading the entire Peach Belt Conference in free throws (196) and free-throw percentage (88.7) and ranked second with 23.6 points per game. Sherrill finished seventh in made field goals and was eighth in minutes played while surpassing career 1,000 and 1,500 points this season.

He led the Jags in scoring in 25 games while leading the team in scoring overall, field goals, three pointers, free throws, steals, and minutes. Sherrill was a PBC preseason All-Conference selection and earned first team All-PBC honors.

Located in Kansas City, Mo., the NABC was founded in 1927 by Forrest "Phog" Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches.
