Keshun Sherrill Named First Team Peach Belt All-Conference

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University men's basketball junior Keshun Sherrill was named first team Peach Belt All-Conference, the league announced from the PBC Awards Banquet on Friday night in Columbus, Ga., the site of this year's tournament semifinals and finals.

The No. 2 East seed Augusta Jaguars (17-10) face the West No. 1 seed Columbus State Cougars (21-6) on Saturday, March 5 at 3:30 p.m. in the Lumpkin Center on the campus of Columbus State University for the PBC Semifinals.

Georgia College's Terrell Harris was named the PBC Player of the Year while Clayton State's Alfonso Davis was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Year. Flagler's Vaughn McCall and Georgia College's Isaac Thomas were named the co-Freshmen of the Year while GC coach Mark Gainous and Columbus State's Robert Moore were tabbed the co-Coaches of the Year.

Jags junior Keshun Sherrill (Cleveland, N.C.) ended the regular-season leading the entire Peach Belt in free throws (196) and free-throw percentage (88.7) and ranked second with 23.6 points per game. Sherrill sits seventh in made field goals and was eighth in minutes played while surpassing career 1,000 and 1,500 points this season.

He led the Jags in scoring in 23 games while leading the team in scoring, field goals, three pointers, free throws, steals, and minutes. Sherrill was a PBC preseason All-Conference selection. He was a first team selection as a sophomore in 2014-15 and was named the PBC Freshman of the Year in 2013-14.
