AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University Jaguars host rival USC Aiken on Saturday, Feb. 13 for 2016 Homecoming in Christenberry Fieldhouse – celebrating 25 Years of Christenberry Fieldhouse. The women's game begins at 1:30 p.m. and the men follow at 3:30 p.m.
The 2016 Homecoming coronation ceremony and crowing of the first Augusta University King and Queen will take place during the men's halftime on the Christenberry Fieldhouse gym floor!
In between games, Augusta Athletics will hold the 2016 Senior Day ceremony to honor our basketball, cheerleading, and pep-band seniors.
Prior to the game, the Jaguar Jam tailgate will kick off at 11:30 a.m. with free live music and a full sound stage on the front lawn of CFH. Join us for another star-studded performance featuring former Jaguar basketball star Roman Hill and Savannah-based indie R&B/funk legends, A Nickel Bag of Funk.
There will be new Augusta Jaguars t-shirts, rally towels, and souvenir cups for fans as well! The Augusta University Division of Communication and Marketing (DCM) will provide the shirts, the Confucius Institute is sponsoring the rally towels, and EZ-GO is providing the cups.
On gameday, DCM will have "swag stops" set up where fans can bring GRU or other legacy t-shirts to trade in for a new free Augusta University t-shirt.
The day of the game from 12:30-3:00 p.m., a tailgate tent will be set up outside of the gym near entrance two serving gameday barbeque and beverages. Tickets are $20 per person, contactalumni@gru.edu / 706-737-1759.
The Alumni Athletics Reunion will take place at the J. Fleming Norvell Golf House the day before the game on Friday, Feb. 12 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Join former Jaguar athletes, cheerleaders, coaches, staff, and other alumni to celebrate 25 years of Christenberry Fieldhouse. The Augusta vs USC Aiken men's basketball game will be televised by WJBF News Channel 6 on WJBF 6.2 MeTV.
