Keshun Sherrill Earns PBC Player of the Week After Averaging 26 Points Across Two Games

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University men's basketball junior Keshun Sherrill has been named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week for the second time in his collegiate career, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Keshun Sherrill (Cleveland, N.C.) continued his torrid pace to the 2015-16 season by averaging 26 points per game in two Jaguar wins.

The junior opened up with 26 points on 7-of-14 shooting (including 4-of-5 three-pointers) in a nine-point win at Wingate on a New Year's eve matchup. He followed that up with another 26 in a one-point conference win over UNC Pembroke on Jan. 2 in Christenberry Fieldhouse. Sherrill hit 11 of 12 free throws in that contest and shot 86% from the line for the week. He also added 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

Sherrill currently leads all of NCAA Division II in scoring with 26.2 points per game. He also leads the PBC in free throws made and is second in free throw percentage.

This is Sherrill's second PBC Player of the Week award, after he earned the accolade on Jan. 12, 2015.
