Seniors Trevor Foreman and Tommy Williams, juniors Keshun Sherrill and Michael Graham, and freshman Deane Williams started for Augusta. Graham hit the opening bucket to start the game and Sherrill drained a three pointer to take the initial advantage. All-Army went up 7-5 on a fast-break layup and stayed ahead through the opening minutes

The Jaguar offense came on strong and Sherrill led all players with a game-best 29 points and added three boards and a steal. Freshmen duo Aaron Byrd and Ja'Shawn Brooks shined in their Jaguar debut, with Byrd scoring 14 and Brooks 13 in the win.

Augusta outrebounded All-Army 46-38 and shot 77.8 percent from the free-throw line to Army's 55.0.

Williams found Sherrill all alone in the paint in the 11th minute of the opening half for a fast-break dunk to tie the contest at 15-15 and Brooks' first three ball was good for Augusta to give them a 21-19 lead.

Army's Darnell Jackson matched the score at 24-24 and a layup off an inbound pass gave the lead back to the visiting team. Augusta stayed behind and went into the locker rooms at halftime down 38-31.

Out of the break, Williams got a layup to go in the paint and the Jags' comeback was in route. Michael Graham's tip-in basket at 13:21 put Augusta on top 51-47 and a Tamyrik Fields steal resulted in a fast-break bucket to increase the lead.

All-Army kept their focus on getting to the free-throw line and cut the deficit, but back-to-back buckets from Keshun Sherrill in consecutive possessions helped the Jags to a 68-55 lead with 7:40 remaining.

After being down seven at half, the Jags outscored All-Army 56-28 in the second half to cruise to an 87-66 win. A 46.4 Augusta field-goal percentage to Army's 36.4 helped give them the edge.

The Jaguars host the Legends Game on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 4:00 p.m. in Christenberry Fieldhouse. This exhibition game will feature the 2015-16 Jags taking on former Jaguar men's basketball alumni for a fun afternoon of hoops.
