Keshun Sherrill Named PBC Preseason All-Conference

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Peach Belt Conference announced the 2015-16 men's basketball preseason All-Conference team as selected by the league's head coaches and Augusta University junior Keshun Sherrill has been named to the team.

The five players on the team represent four different PBC institutions as UNC Pembroke had two players recognized while Augusta University, Young Harris and Flagler had one each.

Joining Sherrill to make up the preseason All-Conference team is Flagler's Keshaun Hamilton, UNC Pembroke's Quamain Rose and Brandon Winford, and Young Harris' C.J. Wilson.

Augusta's Keshun Sherrill was named the 2013-14 PBC Freshman of the Year and a first-team All-Conference selection in 2014-15.  Returning for his junior season, the native of Cleveland, N.C., was named an NABC All-American last year after averaging 18.7 points per game. Sherrill led the PBC in three-point field goal percentage and was ranked in the league's top 10 in points, free throw percentage, field goals made and assists.

Last season Sherrill was named All-American, All-District, All-Region and All-Conference. He was named the Fred Barnabei Male Athlete of the Year at the 2015 GRU Athletics Awards Banquet. Sherrill ranked third in the league with 561 points and was the best three-point shooter with a 47.9 three-point percentage.

Sherrill played the most minutes of any Jaguar and his 127 free-throws made were third best in the league. He paced the team in scoring in 16 different games – highlighted by his career-high 37 points in the season opener against Anderson on Nov. 14, 2014.
